Pre-loss Valuations

Rodney Hyman and his team have been carrying out PAV’s (Pre-accident/pre-loss valuations) for more than 15 years. Invariably these valuations are retrospective to the date of loss, in extreme cases by many years.

Our brief’s have comprised everything from a 40t excavator that rolled down a mountain-side in remote part of Indonesia to an entire mining camp in the Central African Republic. More mundane assets have included:

  • A Printed Circuit Board manufacturing plant that was damaged by a falling roof;
  • 2 woodworking machines that were flooded;
  • The contents of a rural property including household contents, panel beating shop, collectable industrial assets, motor vehicles and farming equipment all destroyed by bush fires, over 5,000 assets in total;
  • The contents of an electrical manufacturing plant destroyed by fire which also required the recreation of an asset register from the ruins, photographs taken in the factory over the years and staff interviews;
  • And many more
